    Interface SaltDefinition

Everything the engine knows about one brewing salt.

    Index
    alkalinityEqPerMol: number

Equivalents of alkalinity per mole (0 for the neutral salts). Baking soda 1, chalk 2, slaked lime 2.

    formula: string

Chemical formula as written on the bag.

    id: SaltId

The salt's id, which is also its key in SALT_DEFINITIONS.

    isAlkaline: boolean

True for the salts that raise pH. The solver excludes these by default.

    label: string

Display name. It includes the hydrate state because that changes the yield per gram.

    molarMassGPerMol: number

Formula mass including waters of hydration, g/mol.

    notes?: readonly string[]

Practical notes on using the salt, as sentences for display.

    poorlySoluble: boolean

True when the salt does not reliably dissolve at brewing concentrations.

    stoichiometry: SaltStoichiometry

Moles of ion per mole of salt.
