    Interface FermentationStep

    One step in a fermentation schedule.

    interface FermentationStep {
        days: number;
        endTempC?: number;
        name: string;
        pressurePsi?: number;
        tempC: number;
        type: FermentationStepType;
    }
    Index
    days: number

    Duration, days.

    endTempC?: number

    End of a temperature ramp, °C. Omitted for a hold at tempC.

    name: string

    Display name, e.g. "Primary".

    pressurePsi?: number

    Gauge pressure held on the vessel through this step, psi. Omitted means atmospheric, which covers everything except a spunded ferment.

    We use psi because it's the engine's pressure unit everywhere else. The Henry's-law fit in carbonation.ts is a polynomial in °F and psi, and that's the only function that reads this field. Callers convert to bar or kPa for display.

    Pressure affects one prediction only, the CO₂ still dissolved in the beer at packaging. See scheduleResidualCo2.

    tempC: number

    Hold temperature, °C, or the start of a ramp when endTempC is set. The warmest temperature across the schedule also drives residual CO₂ at packaging.

    Phase.
