    What the number measures, which decides the unit it's converted to.

    precision?: number

    Decimal places the canonical rendering rounds to, overriding the default for the kind (volume 1, temperature 1, thickness 2).

    Set only where a message needs a fixed precision. The return temperature of an unreachable target is quoted to the whole degree. A display formatter should keep its own precision for gallons or °F.

    value: number

    Canonical: litres, °C, or L/kg.
